ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
* Minimum Educational Qualification :For the post having GP Rs. 1800/- Pass in Matric or ITI or its equivalent. Note: Candidates who apply for posts having Grade pay of Rs. 1800/- but have the educational qualification of only Class- VIII th pass can also be considered for appointment in(-) 1 Spay Band (Rs. 4,440-7,440/-) without any Grade Pay provided they possess the Sports Qualification Such Sports persons will be given to regular Pay Band PB-1 of Rs. 5200-20200/- along with GP Rs. 1800/- only on acquiring the minimum educational qualification under the recruitment rules or on passing the requisite training test.* Age Limit and Relaxation:Minimum 18 years–maximum 25 years as on 01.01.2014. (No relaxation in lower upper age limit is permissible for any category of candidates). (b) Proof of age: The date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation passed Certificate OR in a Certificate recognized as equivalent to Matriculation.
EXAMINATION FEE: i) A Non refundable Bank Draft / IPO for Rs. 100 will be examination fee for UR & OBC candidates and it should be issued in favour of the addressee as indicate in the table para 10. SC ST Minorities economically backwards class are exempted from fees. Minorities will mean Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis. For claiming waiver of examination fee, application form, Economically Backward classes will mean the candidates whose family income is less than Rs. 50,000/- per annum, income certificate for this purpose should be issued from the specified Authority and on Specified Format as per Annexure-II.
MODE OF SELECTION :Candidates will be selected based on trail/ interview.

Eligible candidates may send their applications in the prescribed format on A-4 paper duly filled in by candidates own handwriting, duly accompanying with attested copies of all certificates, age proof certificate,demand draft, educational qualification & caste certificate should be self attested by candidate & should be enclosed along with application form, two recent passport size attested photographs same as pasted in the application.Candidates should write the “name of the event, category applied for & post applied for” in block letters at the top of envelope which should be super scribed “Application for the recruitment against sports Quota 2013-14. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES
(i) bring original documents in support of date of birth, educational qualification, sports achievements on the date of trial and interview: without which, you will not be allowed to appear in the selection trial.(ii) No TA/DA/ Accommodation will be given for appearing in the selection trial/ interview.
(iii) You will have to bring your own kits and also two recent passport size attested photographs same as pasted in the application.
(iv) You may be required to stay during the selection for 02/03 days. for which you have to make your own arrangements. The railway Administration reserved all right to fix any day as deemed suitable, change of place or postpone trial/ interview at its own convenient which can also be cancelled due to unforeseen caused against which no claim will be accepted.
(v) All copies certificates submitted along with the application should be self attested by the candidate. The candidates would be finally selected for employment only, if they pass the medical examination prescribed for the post to which he will be appointed and ready to be posted anywhere in the jurisdiction of Ranchi Division.
(vi) Canvassing in any form he shall rendered the candidate liable for disqualification.

Major events in the development of SE Railway are given below 1887 The Bengal Nagpur Railway was formed. 1887 The construction of a new bridge over the Kanhah River commenced in 1884 and was completed in 1887. 4th Dec 1888 The section from Rajnandgaon to Raipur was opened for traffic. 14th Feb 1889 The section from Raipur to Bilaspur was opened for traffic.6th Oct 1890 The East Coast Railway was inaugurated. 1st Feb 1891.The main line for BNR from Nagpur to Asansol was opened for Goods traffic. 9th Mar 1891.The Bilaspur-Katni Branch was opened for traffic.1st Oct 1892 The Saranda tunnel was completed and opened for traffic 21st Aug 1893The Kakinada-Visakhapatnam line was opened for traffic. 1893 to 1896800 miles of East Coast Railway line was built and opened for traffic. 1893 to 1896East Coast Railway built some of the largest bridges viz.
