Deductions from salry include 10% of total Pay towards New Pension scheme.

After clearing this level, the medical fitness of the candidate is checked. In this stage the eyesight of the candidate and physical fitness of the candidate is checked. ALP's next promotion is Sr. ALP followed by LP. After becoming LP one can write also exams for Power Controller, Crew Controller, Loco Foreman (Loco supervisor) . These posts have the added advantage of getting Running Allowance without actually running.
