ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
* Minimum Educational Qualification :Minimum 10th pass or ITI or equivalent.Represented the country in the Commonwealth Championship (Junior/Senior)/ Asian Championship /Asia Cup(Junior/Senior)/South Asian Federation (SAF) Games (Senior)/ USIC (World Railways) Championship (Senior). represented in Federation Cup Championships (Senior category) and obtained at least 3rd position* Age Limit and Relaxation:Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01.01.2014.
* Pay Scale-Rs. 5,200-20,200 + Grade Pay 1,800/-
EXAMINATION FEE:Demand Draft/Indian Postal Order of 60/- for Group ‘C’ post, PB-1 5,200-20,200+ 2,400/- or 2,800/- (GP) and 40/- for PB-1 5,200-20,200+ 1,800/- or 1,900/- or 2,000/- (GP). DD/IPO should be drawn in favour of shown in table below. This DD/IPO are non-refundable in any case
MODE OF SELECTION :For vacancies against Headquarter quota selection will be conducted by North Western Railway, Headquarter, Jaipur and for vacancies against divisions/workshop will be done by the respective division/workshop themselves. Selection of candidates will be based on their achievements in relevant sports, educational qualification, general intelligence, personality, game skills, physical fitness and observations of coach & trial committee during trial. All eligible candidates will be called for Trial and after Trial, only the FIT candidates will be called for Interview. Candidates declared NOT FIT by the Trial Committee will not be assessed further.
HOW TO APPLY
The application should be sent by ordinary post only in a closed envelope or to drop in the application box provided for the purpose in the place mentioned in above table up to 17.00 Hrs. on 26/08/2013. No receipt will be given at any counter. Applications sent by Registered Post/Courier/By Registered AD will not be accepted. Any deficiency/discrepancy found in the application form and documents submitted by the applicant will render the application invalid. On the top of the envelope “APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA FOR THE YEAR 2013-14” should be subscribed.TENTATIVE DATES: 26-08-2013

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
North Western Railway came being on 1st October, 2002. It was carved out of 2 divisions each from Northern and Western Railways. The formation of this zone along with five other new zones was first approved by Railway Board on 16th September, 1996 and foundation stone for this zone was laid on 17th October 1996 by the then Prime Minister Shri H.D. Deve Gowda at K.P. Singh Stadium, Jaipur. The impetus for formation of New Zone came with the Government of India notification no. 97/E&R/700/1/Notification dated 14.06.2002 wherein it was decided that North Western Railway with its jurisdiction over existing Jaipur and Ajmer divisions of Western Railway and Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions of Northern Railway was to come into effect from 1.10.2002.The total number of trains dealt by North Western Railway amounts to 452 out of which BG trains total 264 and MG trains total 188.
