ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

*Minimum Educational Qualification :Candidates applying for group D jobs in RRC Allahabad must have passed 10th Class or ITI or equivalent from a recognized Educational Institution/ Board.
*Age Limit and Relaxation:Candidates age limit is 18-33 years as on 01-01-2014. Relaxation is applicable as per the rules.
EXAMINATION FEE:Railway job aspirants must pay the fee of Rs.100/- for unreserved and OBC candidates in the from of crossed Demand Draft/ Bank Draft from any Nationalized Bank or IPO from any Post Office in favor of Chairman, Railway Recruitment Cell, North Central Railway Allahabad payable at Allahabad. SC/ ST, all Women candidates, Muslims/ Christians/ Sikhs Buddhists/ Zoroastrians (Parsis) and Economically Backward Classes are exempted from the fee.
MODE OF SELECTION :Applicants will be selected based on Written Examination and Physical Efficiency Test.
HOW TO APPLY
Interested candidates can send applications in the prescribed format along with self attested copies of all relevant certificates, crossed DD/ IPO/ Bank Draft, one passport size photograph enclosed in an envelope super scribed with “Application For Group D Posts” so as to reach Assistant Personnel Officer, Railway Recruitment Cell, North Central Railway, Balmiki Chauraha, Nawab Yusuf Road, Allahabad by ordinary post only or may also be dropped in the Box kept in the Railway Recruitment Cell Office for this purpose on or before 02-09-2013 by 17.30 hrs and 16-09-2013 by 17.30 hrs.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES
1. The number of vacancies shown is provisional and is liable to be increased or decreased. No consequential damage/loss or refund of fee will be made to the applicant on this account. Women are also eligible. They may however, note that the nature of duties is arduous and may involve outdoor duties. Selected candidates are likely to be posted any where on the concerned Zonal Railways after successful completion of training wherever prescribed.
2. Candidates should send their application sufficiently in advance before the closing date to the Railway Recruitment Cell, North Central Railway, Balmiki Chauraha, NawabYusuf Road, Allahabad. RAILWAY RECRUITMENT CELL/ NORTH CENTRAL RAILWAY will not be responsible for any postal delay/wrong delivery whatsoever at any stage of the recruitment process.
3. All candidates irrespective of community will be considered for UR vacancy if they are coming in merit who are not availing any relaxation.However, against specific community quota, only candidates of that particular community will be considered Caste certificate from competent authority for SC/ST and OBC candidates in the prescribed format have to be produced.
4. If the candidates wish to be considered against a s pecific community quota and tick the community column accordingly, their application will be rejected unless proof of community in the prescribed format is enclosed.Any subsequent representation for change of community status will not be entertained under any circumstances. Be fore applying to the post, the candidates should ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility and other criteria. The RAILWAY RECRUITMENT CELL-NORTHCENTRAL RAILWAY would be free to reject any application not fulfilling the requisite criteria at any stage of recruitment and if appointed, such candidate is liable to be removed from the service
5. Candidates should carefully read the instructions for filling up application format. Application should be made on a good quality white A-4 (210x297mm) size paper on a single sheet using ONE SIDE ONLY. The candidate should use the same format published in the Employment Notice. The candidates have to fill up required information in his or her own handwriting. The application should be written either in English or Hindi not in any other language duly dated and signed by him/her. Application filled in any language other than Hindi/English and by any person other than the applicant and having any change in the format of application will lead to rejection of application. It is important to note that follow ing Para (Declaration) should be copied out by candidate in his/her own handwriting in the space provided at column no. 22 of form at Annexure –’I
6. ’. “I hereby declare that all the statements made in this application are true,complete and correct to the best of my knowledge and belief. In the event of any information being found false or incorrect or my self being not eligible in terms of eligibility criteria, during the selection/any part of the recruitment, my candidature/appointment is liable to be cancelled/terminated without any notice at any stage even after empanelment”. Signature of the applicant must be specific so that the same may not be copied easily.
7. Signature in capital letters or open letters will not be accepted and the applications having such type of signature will be out rightly rejected. Candidates should mention “Application For Group ‘D’ Posts”on the top of the envelope containing the application. Physically Handicapped candidates should also write “Physically Handicapped”on the right side of the envelope. In case more than one application is sent, all such applications will be rejected. The candidates should send his application duly filled in all respect along with required documents by ORDINARY POST ONLY, so as to reach Railway Recruitment Cell, office on or before the closing date positively.
8. Application received after closing date, for any reason whatsoever, will not be considered. Speed post / Courier / Registered AD will not be acknowledged. Such Applications will be deemed to have been deposited in the box provided at RAILWAY RECRUITMENT CELL, Office, North Central Railway, Allahabad for this p urpose. Those candidates who are debarred from appearing in any of the RRBs/RRCs exam need not apply unless their debaration period expires up to closing date. Their application shall not be entertained.
ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
North Central Railway is known as the Workhorse of Indian Railways which spreads across three divisions viz Allahabad, Jhansi and Agra, It extends from Ghaziabad (excl.) in the north to Mughalsarai (excl.) in the east on New Delhi Howarah trunk route and from Palwal (excl.) to Bina (excl.) on New Delhi Mumbai/ Chennai corridor. Rightly referred to as heartbeat of Indian Railways, North Central Railway span over parts of UP, Haryana, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh with about 3062 route km. of BG comprising predominately, double line- electrified sections defining the sides and diagonals of the Golden Quadrilateral. Rail Spring Karkhana is Located near Sithouli Railway Station about 12.8 Kms way from Gwalior Railway Station. It is a unique workshop designed for manufacture of Hot Coil Springs of various types for different types of Rolling Stock of Indian Railways.Rail Spring Karkhana Project was sanctioned by Railway Board vide Pink Book item No. 247 of 1988-89. The Foundation Stone was laid by Hon’able Member Parliament Shri Madhav Rao Scindia. This is the largest dedicated plant for manufacture of Helical Hot Coiled Springs of Indian Railways. It was setup in 1989 on turnkey basis by M/s Ernst Komrowski & Co. Germany in Technical Collaboration with M/s Grueber, a Leading Spring Manufacturer of Germany. The total sanctioned cost for setting-up of the Project was Rs 54.04 Crores. The plant is equipped with state-of-the art facilities for manufacture of Coiled Springs. All furnaces of this plant are LPG fired.Trial Production Started in February/March 1990 and the Karkhana was formally inaugurated by Hon’ble Railway Minister Shri George Farnandes on 25th April 1990 in presence of Hon’ble member Parliament Shri Madho Rao Scindia. The Karkhana was initially headed by CPM Shri S. Venkataraman as the first in-charge of the Workshop as Chief Project Manager, which was later on operated as Chief Workshop Manager/RSK.
