All the candidates must be registered with MCI and the qualifications must be recognized by MCI.*Minimum Educational Qualification :a) For Pathologist : MBBS with Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Pathology
b) For Anaesthetist : MBBS with Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Anesthesiology
c) For Orthopaedic Surgeon: MBBS with Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Orthopaedics.
d) For Ophthalmologist: MBBS with Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Ophthalmology.
e) For General Duty: MBBS.

HOW TO APPLY
The willing candidates may report for the “ WALK IN” interview to the above mentioned venue at 10.00 hours, with an application(Format of application can be obtained from the ‘News & Updates’ page on www.ser.indianrailways.gov.in or one hour before the scheduled time of the interview at the places mentioned above) along with all certificates/mark sheets/testimonials including Caste certificate(if any) IN ORIGINAL and true attested copies and also two passport size photographs. In the event of any wrong information/fake certificates/testimonials etc., the candidates will be liable to be taken up under Govt. of India’s law, in force.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES
The appointment will be on full time contract basis for an initial period of 1 year or less or till replaced by UPSC selected doctors, whichever is earlier.2. The contract is liable to be terminated by giving two weeks notice by either side, without assigning any reason, or if the Contract Medical Practitioner is mentally/physically incapacitated.
3. The contract appointment shall not confer any right for regularization or absorption in the post.
4. a) A candidate should not exceed 50 years of age as on 01.01.2013, (5 yrs. age relaxation for SC/ST and 3 yrs. for OBC)
b) Age limit for retired Railway doctors: - upto 65 yrs.
