ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
*Menimum Educational Qualification :Candidates should possess Matriculation and I.T.I certificate affiliated to NCVT/ SCVT is compulsory in relevant trade.*Age Limit and Relaxation:Candidates age limit should be between 15 to 24 years as on 24-04-2015. There will be an Upper age relaxation of 05 years for SC/ST & 03 years for OBC candidates.

MODE OF SELECTION :Applicants will be selected on the basis of performance in written test and interview.
HOW TO APPLY

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES
i. The candidates whose sslc/iti results are awaited as on the date of notification are not eligible for application.ii. The candidates failed in ITI should not apply, in case any failed candidate engaged un-noticed then he/she will be terminated from training without any further notice.
iii. The Candidates attending this office for verification will not be given any TA/DA.
iv. No Hostel facility will be provided and the selected candidates should make their own arrangements for stay during their training.
v. There is no job assurance in railways to an apprentice who completes the apprentice ship successfully as per rule 8 of apprenticeship rule, 1961 .
vi. The candidates shall have to execute a contract of Apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act – 1961 and if such candidate is minor his Guardian can execute the prescribed contract.
vii. The candidates undergoing training should deposit their original SSLC/10th marks card with this office until the completion of their training so that candidates should not leave training in between.
viii. The caste certificate should be in central format and category agianst which candidate is applying must note that the sub-caste should appear in central gazzette of India otherwise application will be rejected.
ix. The applications except the wards of Railway employees have to be registered with local employment exchange falling in districts of Karnataka and adjoining districts of states served by S.W.Railway i.e Tamil Nadu (districts namely Dharmapuri,Salem,Vellore), Andhra Pradesh (districts namely Ananthapur, Chittoor), Maharashtra (district namely Sangli) and Goa (With upto date renewal). However, applications not registered with local employment exchange will be rejected

South Western Railway was created by amalgamating the reorganized Hubli division from South Central Railway with Bangalore & Mysore divisions of Southern Railway. This railway has become operational from 1st of April, 2003 with its head quarter at Hubli in the state of Karnataka.The zone encompasses railway routes passing through Karnataka and parts of Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, Goa & Maharashtra.Shri P.K. Saxena, had joined Central Railway as Assistant Engineer in Khandwa of Bhusaval Division of old Central Railway in the year 1980. Shri Saxena alsoworked in various capacities.He worked as Chief Engineer(Construction), Metropolitan Transport Project(MTP), Mumbai and executed various projects in and around Mumbai and Navi Mumbai areas.ShriSaxena has also held key posts like Chief Engineer (Track Machines), Central Railway, Mumbai, Divisional Railway Manager, Pune Division of Central Railway and Chief Administrative Officer(Construction), South East Central Railway and also as Principal Chief Engineer, South East Central Railway, Bilaspur.
