EXAMINATION FEE:The examination fees for recruitment against Sports Quota will be Rs.100/-. Fee can be paid only in the form of Indian Postal Order of above amount. Date of issue of IPO should not be before the date of issue of this Employment Notice. All Female Candidates, SC / ST and Minority are fully exempted from examination fees. Economically backward class candidates means whose family income is less than Rs.50,000 per annum. They have to produce income certificate on letter head in the prescribed format as shown in Annexure- ‘A’ for exemption from Examination Fee. Postal order should be in favour of “FA & CAO, East Central Railway” & payable at Hajipur. Examination fee will not be refundable in any case.
MODE OF SELECTION :Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance Trial & Interview by Recruitment Committee.

2. All candidates should indicate clearly“Application against Sports Quota”,Employment Notice No.ECR/HRD/Rectt/Sports Quota (Open Advt.)/2014-15&Sports Discipline on the top of the envelope.
3. No application will be accepted after the closing date for whatever reason, neither any enclosure received separately after the receipt of application will be connected therewith. Incomplete applications in any respect will be summarily rejected.
4. All the championships mentioned above must be conducted under the aegis of recognized International /National/State Sports Federation and also recognized by the RSPB ( Railway Sports Promotion Board).(b)For Norms:Represented a State or equivalent unit in Junior/Senior National Championship and obtained at least 3rdposition and Represented a State or equivalent unit, except in Marathon and Cross Country in Junior/Senior National Championship, only Senior National and Junior National Championships shall be taken into consideration. Rural Meets, Festival Meets and other similar tournaments shall not be considered.

HOW TO APPLY
Eligible candidates can send their applications in prescribed format should be neatly typed or handwritten either in Hindi or in English on A-4 size paper with one recent passport size photograph should be pasted at the specific space on the application form duly signed on the top by the candidate, Two similar passport size photographs (same as affixed in the application form duly signed on the top) should be clipped along with the Application Form & All the copies of certificates in support of age, caste (applicable for Central Government services), educational qualification, sports achievements & other qualifications should be attested either by a Gazetted officer or by self and should be enclosed along with the Application. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES
1. The decision of Railway Administration in connection with formation of panel will be final.For non-emplacement of the candidate,no correspondence will be entertained. The Railway Administration will not be responsible for any postal delay or wrong delivery. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate. The application which suffer from material irregularities such as unsigned, incomplete, illegible, without requisite& attested enclosures, without desired fee (in the form of IPO), not in prescribed format, without attested copies of certificate/testimonials and the application which in the opinion of Railway Administration are otherwise invalid will be rejected at any stage. 2. ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
ECR has been lifeline for the people in its expanse and played a pivotal role in rapid development of the area. The development of infrastructure has been the major thrust area to bring about a rapid growth rate in the region and prosperity to the people. To list a few example shall be good and fast connectivity with all parts of the country through introduction of trains, construction of new lines, doubling, gauge conversion, construction of new bridges, construction of road-over bridges, new workshop projects etc. Other than this qualitative and perceptible improvement in safety, cleanliness, catering, passenger amenities have been achieved to a large extent.ECR is unique in the sense that both Goods loading and Passenger traffic assume great importance in view of the huge coal loading in the coal bearing of Dhanbad division of Jharkhand state and densely populated area of Bihar. The rapid growth in both the sectors has necessitated strengthening of infrastructure of Railways. With the objective of providing safe and efficient passenger and freight transportation solutions to the people, East Central Railway plays a pivotal role in fulfilling the transportation needs of its customers. This Railway has carried 2296.86 lakh passengers in the current year upto January, 2014. With the running of regular express trains and passenger trains per day, besides special trains during the period April, 2013 to January, 2014, better traffic facilities has provided to passengers.
