ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
*Menimum Educational Qualification :
Maintainer : Matriculation plus two years ITI in any one of the following specific Engineering Trade: Electrician Instrument Mechanic /Mechanic Radio and TV / Electronics Mechanics / Wireman / Fitter / Mechanic Computer Hardware / Mechanic – Industrial Electronics / Information Technology & Electronics System Maintenance / Mech. Communication Equipment Maintenance, Masonry, Carpentry, Building.Refrigeration and AC Mechanics Mechanic Mechatronics or equivalent qualification.
Train Operator : Matriculation plus three years Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Telecommunications / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electrical power Systems / Industrial Electronics / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification .
*Age Limit and Relaxation:Candidates upper age limit should not exceed 35(General), 40(SC/ST), 38(IIa, IIb, IIIa , IIIb), 50( Ex-Servicemen) Years As On 30-6-2014. Age relaxations will be applicable as per the rules.
EXAMINATION FEE: Applicants should have to pay Rs.200/- for SC/ ST candidates, Rs.500/- for remaining through Challan and pay the money at the nearest SBI branch from 12-09-2014.
MODE OF SELECTION :Candidates are selected based on written test & Medical Fitness Test.

Instructions to Apply Online:
1. Before applying candidates have to scan photo (Size less than 50 kb) in JPEG format.
2. Log on to the website www.bmrc.co.in.
3. Click on Careers —-> “Click here for Online Application” before relevant post.
4. Read the instructions carefully and select the post you want to apply.
5. Enter full name, Nationality, etc and upload photo and click on Submit button.
6. If you have correctly filed the application, application number will be generated (retain it for future use).
7. After Submission , take printout of acknowledgment (retain it for future use) and Bank Challan and make payment as mentioned in Examination fee.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES
1 On-line applications forms are available on BMRCL website : www.bmrc.co.in.Candidates are required to go to BMRCL website and fill up the application online.Detailed instructions regarding filling up of application is given under the heading“How to Apply” at Annexure 2. Please note that no application on paper including hand written or typed will be entertained. For any doubts or difficulty infilling up the application online, BMRCL Help Desk may be contacted at Nos.08022969200 / 22969400 during office hours on all the working days.
2 Before applying for any post, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills all theeligibility norms. The candidate should have the requisite Educational /Technical qualifications as on the closing date of submission of the application. Those awaiting results of the final examination need not apply. The Diploma should be from an Institute/Organization recognized by AICTE. The ITI Certificate should be recognized by NCVT / SCVT.Candidates possessing qualification equivalent to the relevant Engineering Diploma may apply subject to the condition that they should produce satisfactory documentary proof in support of the equivalence. If such a document is not produced the candidate shall be disqualified irrespective of his /her position in the merit list prepared on the basis of the written test.  Knowledge of Kannada in all the four attributes viz., reading, speaking, writing & understanding, is compulsory for all the posts.
3 Candidates can apply for any one post only.
4 The number of vacancies indicated in this Employment Notification is provisional and may increase or decrease depending upon the actual need. BMRCL also reserves the right to cancel the notified vacancies at its discretion and such decision will be final and binding on all. In the event of cancellation of notified vacancies, the examination fees paid by the candidates will not be refunded.
5 Shortlisting of candidates by BMRCL does not confer upon candidates any right of appointment in BMRCL.
6 Selected candidates will have to undergo training wherever required.
7 Emoluments on initial appointment will be minimum pay of the pay scale of the post plus other allowances admissible at that time. Candidates may have to give security deposit and execute indemnity bond wherever necessary.
8 Reservation for SC / ST / Cat I, Cat IIa, Cat II b, Cat IIIa and Cat III b While all candidates irrespective of community may be considered against GM vacancies, against the vacancies earmarked for specific community (SC/ST/Cat 1,Cat IIa, Cat IIb, Cat IIIa and Cat IIIb), only candidates belonging to that community/group will be considered. 9 Candidates claiming reservation under Hyderabad – Karnataka Region (Under Article 371 (J) ) should produce relevant eligibility certificate as prescribed under Karnataka Public Employment (Reservation in appointment for Hyderabad- Karnataka region) (Issue of eligibility certificates) Rules 2013 issued by the competent authority as in Government Notification I and II No. DPAR 43 HKC 2013 Bangalore dated 29.1.2014. (Eligibility certificate in the format as in Annexure A attached to the above Notification of GoK).
10 Women candidates may note that duties may be arduous in nature and require working in shifts at odd hours.
11 Any subsequent changes in the terms and conditions of this Employment Notification as per extant rules will stand good. BMRCL reserves the right to consider/ incorporate any subsequent changes/modifications/additions in the terms & conditions of recruitment under this Employment Notification as necessitated and applicable.

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), a joint venture of Government of India and Government of Karnataka is a Special Purpose Vehicle entrusted with the responsibility of implementation of Bangalore Metro Rail Project.Bangalore Metro, christened as "Namma Metro", not only adds to the beauty of Bangalore skyline, but immensely adds to the comfort level of travel. Besides this, Namma Metro is a major environment friendly addition to the Bangalore City as it significantly contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions.The project has an East-West corridor - 18.10 km long, starting from Baiyappanahalli in the East and terminating at Mysore Road terminal in the West and a 24.20 km North-South corridor commencing at Nagasandra in the North and terminating at Puttenahalli in the South.The commercial operations on Reach-1 (MG Road to Baiyappanahalli station) have opened on 20th October 2011 and The commercial operations on Reach-3,3A (Peenya Industry to Mantri Square Sampige Road Station) have commenced on 1st March 2014.
