ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Minimum Educational Qualification :Candidates should possess MBBS and must have a valid registration certificate of any of the State Medical Council of India.Age Limit and Relaxation:Candidates age should be between 15 -24 Years As On 14-07-2014. Age relaxations will be applicable as per the rules.
Salary:For open market candidates - Rs.55,000/- per month fixed.
For Retired Railway / Govt Doctors - Rs.46,000/- per month
EXAMINATION FEE:No application fee
MODE OF SELECTION :Candidates would be selected based on their performance in interview conducted by railway board.

ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
South Western Railway was created by amalgamating the reorganized Hubli division from South Central Railway with Bangalore & Mysore divisions of Southern Railway. This railway has become operational from 1st of April, 2003 with its head quarter at Hubli in the state of Karnataka.The zone encompasses railway routes passing through Karnataka and parts of Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, Goa & Maharashtra.South Western Railway is continuously strengthening the security apparatus in Railway premises to ensure safe travel.Adequate number of RPF personnel have been deployed on escort duty in 85 trains on identified sections.RPF/GRP Escort party also keep a watch over the ladies compartment.3 Major stations have been covered under security surveillance through 140 Close Circuit TVs.Integrated Security System(ISS) is being implemented for foolproof system of security at Bangalore,Yesvantpur and Mysore Railway Stations.
