* Minimum Educational Qualification :a) For Anaesthetist: MBBS with Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Anesthesiology.
b) For Orthopaedic Surgeon: MBBS with Post Graduate Degree/Diploma inOrthopaedic.
c) For Ophthalmologist: MBBS with Post Graduate Degree/Diploma inOphthalmology.
d) General Surgeon – MBBS with Post Graduate Degree in General Surgery.
e) Physician- MBBS with Post Graduate Degree in Medicine.
f) For General Duty: MBBS.
* Age Limit and Relaxation:Age limited for Retired Railway Doctor: - upto 65 years.

MODE OF SELECTION :Candidates would be selected based on their performance in written examination, performance test/ interview.

The interested applicants may report for the “WALK IN INTERVIEW” to one of the below mentioned venues at 10.00 hours, with an application along with all certificates/marksheets/testimonials including Caste certificate, (if any) IN ORIGINAL and true attestedcopies along with two recent passport size photographs. In the event of any wronginformation/fake certificates/testimonials etc., the candidates will be liable to betaken- up under Govt. of India’s law in force.PROBABLE LOCATION :Different places of Kharagpur, Chakradharpur & Adra divisions over South Eastern Railway. One Anaesthetist and Orthopaedic Surgeon will be posted at Central Hospital/Garden Reach.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES
A) i) Engagement of CMPs for the central Hospital/GRC is initially made for aperiod upto 30.6.14 which, may be extended for a period of one year or till replaced by the UPSC selected doctors available whichever is earlier.ii) Engagement of CMPs for the rest, be made for a period upto 13.1.2015 or till replaced by the UPSC selected doctors available whichever is earlier. The period of contract may be extended for a period of one year subject to getting Board’s further extension beyond 13.01.2015.
B) The contract is liable to be terminated by giving two weeks’ notice by either side, without assigning any reason, or if the Contract Medical Practitioner is mentally/physically incapacitated.
C) The contract appointment shall not confer upon any right for regularization or
absorption in future.
D) i) A candidate should not exceed 50 years of age as on 01.01.2014, (5 yrs.age relaxation for SC/ST and 3 yrs. for OBC)

Major events in the development of SE Railway are given below 1887The Bengal Nagpur Railway was formed.1887The construction of a new bridge over the Kanhah River commenced in 1884 and was completed in 1887. 4th Dec 1888 The section from Rajnandgaon to Raipur was opened for traffic.14th Feb 1889The section from Raipur to Bilaspur was opened for traffic. 6th Oct 1890 The East Coast Railway was inaugurated. 1st Feb 1891.The main line for BNR from Nagpur to Asansol was opened for Goods traffic. 9th Mar 1891The Bilaspur-Katni Branch was opened for traffic.1st Oct 1892 The Saranda tunnel was completed and opened for traffic21st Aug 1893The Kakinada-Visakhapatnam line was opened for traffic.1893 to 1896800 miles of East Coast Railway line was built and opened for traffic.1893 to 1896East Coast Railway built some of the largest bridges viz. Brahmani, Mahanadi, Katjuri, Kuakhai and Birupa during the period.
