ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
* Minimum Educational Qualification :Candidates should have SSC with ITI in relevant trade for technical and SSC with 50% marks in aggregate and type writing proficiency of 30 wpm in English or 25 wpm in Hindi and have been an active member of a scouts Organization for atleast 3 years.* Age Limit and Relaxation:Candidates age should be 18 years to 30 years for UR and 18 years to 33 years for OBC and 18 years to 35 years for SC/ ST as on 01-01-2014. Age Relaxation is applicable for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Ex-Servicemen/ Widow candidates.
EXAMINATION FEE:Candidates have to take IPO/ Demand Draft for Rs.40/- for general in favour of FA & CAO, South Central Railway payable at Secunderabad/ Hyderabad and No fee for SC/ ST/ Minority/ Women candidates.
MODE OF SELECTION :Candidates are selected based on written test & personal/ interview.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES
1. Dear candidate, we thank you for responding to our advertisement for recruitment in the Indian Railways.2. The candidate should report at the centre of examination well in advance of reporting time. Reporting time and examination time are indicated in the call letter. The candidates reporting after 10 minutes of the start of examination shall not be admitted.
3. Your admission to examination will be subject to your producing this call letter in original before the officials-in-charge of the examination centre.
4. Please paste a photograph in the bottom portion of the call letter. Candidate with call letters without the photograph pasted will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
5. Your candidature for this post is provisional and subject to your fulfilling the prescribed age, educational qualifications and other conditions as specified in our advertisement and will be verified during document verification.
6. The candidates must fill up and darken the correct circles for their roll no., question booklet no. etc in answer sheet correctly. Wrong filling of roll no., question booklet no. and name etc will lead to disqualification. ENSURE THAT QUESTION BOOKLET AND ANSWER SHEET HAVE SAME SERIAL NO. OTHERWISE GET THEM CHANGED.
7. No request for change in date of examination and centre will be entertained.
8. This call letter should be carefully retained by the candidates. Those candidates who are called for interview/verification of credentials/skill test will be required to produce this call letter also, failing which they will be disqualified.
9. For SC/ST only : On production of this admit card you are entitled to travel by Rail in Second Class from your nearest Railway Station (mentioned on the reverse) to the place of written examination and back till the mentioned date. You should produce original caste certificate at the time of reservation/traveling.
10. Any form of canvassing will disqualify the candidate. The candidate found to be indulging in any malpractice or any unfairmeans in the examination shall be disqualified and debarred from all RRBs.
ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
South Central Railway was formed on 02-10-1966 when Hubli and Vijayawada Divisions of Southern Railway and Sholapur and Secunderabad Divisions of Central Railway were carved out and merged into a new Zone. Subsequently, Guntakal Division of Southern Railway was merged with South Central Railway on 02-10-1977 and Sholapur Division was remerged with Central Railway. Secunderabad Division was split into two Divisions viz. Secunderabad and Hyderabad on 17-02-1978. Following reorganisation of zones and Divisions with effect from 01-04-2003, two new Divisions viz., Guntur and Nanded were operationalised duly transferring Hubli Division to newly formed South Western Railway.Presently S.C. Railway has 6 Divisions, viz, Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded. South Central Railway predominantly serves the state of Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra and to a limited extent, portions of Karnataka, Tamilnadu & Madhya Pradesh states.
