ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
* Minimum Educational Qualification :Candidates applying for RRC chennai vacancy 2014 should possess Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate in Music from Government recognized Institute for S.No.1 Post, President’s Scout/ Guide/ Ranger/ Rover (or) Himalayan Wood Badge Holder (or) A pre-HWB trained Scout Leader/ Advanced Trained Guider/ Leader/ Captain, Should have been an active member of a Scouts organisation for at least 3 (three) years for S.No.2 Post.* Age Limit and Relaxation:Candidates age should be 18 to 30 years for Grade Pay Rs. 1900/- & 18 to 33 years for Rs. 1,800/- as on 01-01-2014. Age relaxations are applicable, refer to the notification.
EXAMINATION FEE:Candidates need to pay Rs.100/- for post with grade pay of Rs.1,800/- & Rs. 40/- for post with grade pay of Rs.1,900/- (For SC/ ST/ Ex- Serviceman, PWD, Women, Minorities, EBC are exempted) in the form of Demand Drafts (DD)/ Indian Postal Orders (IPO), drawn in favour of ’Assistant Personnel Officer / Recruitment’, payable at Chennai.
MODE OF SELECTION :Candidates will be selected based on Written Test, Personality test/ interview.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES
1. The candidates applying in response to this notification shall ensure that he / she fulfill all eligibility conditions at the time of submission of Application.2. Photo: One Passport Size photograph (not older than one month) (in Scout / Guide uniform in case applying against Scouts & Guides quota) should be pasted on the application form,at the space specified.
3. Enclosures: Self-attested Photostat copy of the certificates in support of Age,Community, Educational Qualifications and Cultural / Scouting Qualifications, etc. Further,Indian Postal Order / Demand Draft in original or necessary proof for claiming fee exemption,etc. should be enclosed along with the application form.
4. Certificates in languages other than English or Hindi should be accompanied by an attested translation in English / Hindi.
5. Serving employee and Staff of Quasi administrative offices of Railway Organisations:“No Objection Certificate" or "Bonafide Certificate" giving the length of regular service etc.from the employer should be attached.
6. Divorced / Judicially separated Women: Copy of Decree from the competent court of law for having divorced / judicially separated along with an Affidavit that she has not remarried since should be enclosed.
7. Widow: Death Certificate of her husband together with an Affidavit that she has not remarried since should be enclosed.
8. Ex-Servicemen: Discharge Certificate should be enclosed.
9. Persons with Disability: Disability Certificate issued by Medical Board of the appropriate Government in the prescribed format ('Proforma' is available in the website) should be enclosed.
10. Candidates belonging to Minority Community and Economically Backward Classes shall enclose documentary proof in support of their claim.
11. Finger Prints: Left Thumb Impression should be affixed in such a manner that the ridges are clearly visible.
