ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
* Minimum Educational Qualification :The candidate Applying for Cultural Quota Vacancy in RRC Allahabad should have minimum qualification of matriculation or equivalent examination passed with 50 % aggregate or higher qualification from any recognized Board/University. The condition of 50% marks is not applicable for those with higher qualification.
* Essential : Possession of degree/diploma certificate in specified stream from Government recognized institution for which notification issued.
* Desirable:
1.Experience in the field and performances given on AIR/Doordarshan etc.
2.Prizes won at national level
* Age Limit and Relaxation:The candidates should be aged between 18 to 30 years as on 01.01.2014.
EXAMINATION FEE:The examination fee 40/- should be paid in the form of Indian Postal Order, drawn in favour of the Chairman/Railway Recruitment Cell, North Central Railway, Allahabad Payable at Allahabad. The candidates should write their Name and Address on the IPO. IPOs obtained earlier to the date of issue of the employment notice will not be accepted. Cheques/drafts will not be accepted. Application with Cheque/Draft and IPO issued before issuance of this notification will be cancelled.
MODE OF SELECTION :Candidates would be selected based on their performance in written test and interview.
HOW TO APPLY FOR NCR JOB
Application shall be submitted on A-4 size quality white paper and should be in conformity with the format given in this notice. Candidates are advised to ensure that the application is legible, written in their own handwriting (English/Hindi) only one side of the paper, dated and signed. Use only international numerals (1, 2, 3, etc). The candidate must put his/her normal (English/Hindi) signature in running script on the application form at specified place. Thump impression must be given on prescribed place.The envelope containing the application should clearly be super-scribed as “Application for Recruitment against Cultural Quota for the year 2013-14”.
Photograph:- One recent passport size photograph with clear front view of the candidate in normal attire without cap/ sunglasses/wigs (not earlier than one month of the date of application) should be pasted on the application in the space provided and signed by the candidate on the top of the photograph and two photograph containing name and address on back to be firmly stitched to the application form.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES
1 The application complete in all respect along with all the enclosures duly attached should be sent in a cover addressed to the Chairman/Railway Recruitment Cell, North Central Railway, Nawab Yusuf Road, Valmiki Chauraha, Allahabad (U.P) Pin Code –211001 on any working day (Monday to Friday) between 09.30 hrs to 17.30 hrs before closing date. Application should be sent only by ordinary post or drop in box kept in the office of Chairman/Railway Recruitment Cell, North Central Railway, Nawab Yusuf Road, Valmiki Chauraha, Allahabad (U.P) Pin Code – 211001. Application sent by registered post/courier or speed post will not be acknowledged. The envelope containing the application should clearly be super-scribed as “Application for Recruitment against Cultural Quota for the year 2013-14”.
2.Application of the candidates having any of the following discrepancies or irregularities will be summarily rejected: Application which is incomplete or illegible or unsigned or not in prescribed format as given in this employment notice. Application without requisite documents.
3.Application which are not in English/Hindi language.  Application without self attested copies of certificates in proof of Age, Educational qualification, Community (where applicable) and Cultural achievement/certificates etc.
4.Application without support of attested translated copies of certificates which are in a language other than English/Hindi.
5.Application without examination fee in the form of Indian Postal Order (except the candidates who are exempted from payment of examination fees).
6.Application without signed/attested photograph affixing on prescribed place. Applications received after closing date will not be entertained.
7.Without self attested Copy of community certificate issued by competent authority on prescribed format in case of SC/ST/ OBC candidates (as given in Annexure ‘B’ & ‘C’). Without self declaration from in case of OBC candidates regarding non-creamy layer status in the proforma as given in Annexure ‘D’.
8.The applications having deficiency, defect, and irregularities, without examination fee of 40/- (Which is non-refundable in any case) and incomplete information etc.
9.The decision of the Railway Administration in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the application, issue of free passes, penalty for false information, mode of selection, conduct of examination will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained by the Railway Administration in this connection.
ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
North Central Railways, in its present form, came into existence on 1st Of April 2003. North Central Railways present network extends over a large area of North Central India, covering the states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana . Geographically NCR is the heart of Railway network and extends from (exclusive) in the North to MGS (exclusive) in the east and Bina (exclusive in the South. This network spans over parts of UP., Haryana, Rajasthan & MP. This has a total of 3062 route Kms, predominantly double line electrified section. This route from GZB to MGS is a part of golden quadrilateral. NCR consists of 202 main line stations & 221 branch line stations. This Zone forms a corridor for trains almost directions viz. East to North and North to East a total of 29 pairs of M/Exp. Trains daily West/South to North and North to South/ West total 37 pairs of M/Exp. Trains daily East to SW & SW to East a total of 25 pairs of M/Exp. Trains daily East to West & West to East a total of 12 pairs of M/Exp.
