ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
* Minimum Educational Qualification :- In G.P.-Rs 1800– Matriculation or ITI or equivalent
- In G.P-Rs 1900/2000- Matriculation with 50% marks or equivalent or higher qualification
- In G.P-Rs 2400- Intermediate in Science with Maths & Physics (If recruited in Technician Grade)
- In G.P-Rs 2800- Graduation or equivalent
EXAMINATION FEE:Rs.60/- (for Grade Pay-R2800/2400/-) and R 40/- (for Grade Pay- R 2000/1900 & R 1800/-). All Female Candidates, SC / ST and Minority are fully exempted from examination fee.
MODE OF SELECTION :Selection will be conducted through TRIAL and INTERVIEW by Recruitment Committee.No TA/DA/Accommodation will be provided during trial/interview.The candidate may have to stay for 2-3 days during selection for which he/she has to make his/her own arrangement.

Railway Recruitment Cell, East Central Railway is an organization created after issue of letter no. E(NG)II/96/RR-1/62 dated 18.07.2005 by Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), New Delhi. The letter delegates powers to General Managers of Indian Railways for open market recruitments in Pay Band 1 + Grade Pay 1800/- (erstwhile Group ‘D’ posts). Railway Recruitment Cell, East Central Railway performs the task of such recruitment on behalf of the General Manager, East Central Railway.Railway Recruitment Cell, East Central Railway is headed by Chairman who is assisted by one Assistant Personnel Officer (RRC) and 19 non-gazetted staff.The Cell caters to fill up open market vacancies (in Pay Band 1 + Grade Pay1800/-) of Dhanbad, Mughalsarai, Danapur, Sonpur and Samastipur Divisions of East Central Railway, Workshop/Samastipur and Plant Depot/Mughalsarai of East Central Railway as well as extra divisional units in the territorial jurisdictions of East Central Railway.
