ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
1. Ex-Serviceman who have retired after putting in 15 years of service in the Armed force of the Union of India and have passed Army Class -I certificate or equivalent are eligible to apply.2.The term Ex - servicemen means a person who has served in any rank (whether as a combatant or non – combatant) in the Regular Army ,Navy or Air Force of the Indian Union , and
(a)who either has been retired or relieved or discharged from such service whether at his own request or being relieved by the employer after earning his or her pension; or
(b)who has been relieved from such service on medical grounds attributable to military service or circumstances beyond his control and awarded medical or other disability pension; or
(c)who has been released from such service as a result of reduction in establishment; or
*Minimum Educational Qualification :Matric or its equivalent.Those who have been enrolled in the Armed Forces with Non-Matric and discharged with Pension after Completing 15 years of service will be treated as equivalent to Matriculate and those who have been enrolled with Matriculation and discharged with pension after completing 15 years of service will be treated as equivalent to Graduate
*Age Limit and Relaxation:The Ex-servicemen who have put in not less than 6 months continuous service will be given relaxation in age limit to the extent of the period of service plus 3 years as under:-,1. For UR candidates:33 years + extent of military service + 3 years,2. For SC/ST candidates: 38years + extent of military service + 3 years,3. For OBC candidates:36years + exten t of military service + 3 years
*Salary : Rs 5200-20200/-with Grade Pay of Rs.1800/-
EXAMINATION FEE:No application fee
MODE OF SELECTION :The names of eligible candidates will be arranged in the order of merit on the basis of total length of military service and ex- Servicemen to the extent of vacancies will be called for verification of original documents. After verification of original documents a final panel will be prepared from this list. There will be no written examination/interview or Physical Efficiency Test

In the light of announcement made by Honourable Minister for Railways in his Budget (Railway) Speech for 2005-2006 and in accordance with the instructions issued by Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), Railway Recruitment Cell has been formed for recruitment of Group 'D' staff in Railways. Railway Recruitment Cell ,South Eastern Railway,11 Garden Reach Road,Kolkata - 700043 Railway Recruitment Cell is headed by a Deputy Chief Personnel Officer/Recruitment, who is assisted by an Assistant Personnel Officer/Recruitment and 10 staff in Group 'C'
