GROUP D JOBS ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
*Minimum Educational Qualification :Candidates applying for group D jobs in South Central Railway who have retired as Ex-servicemen after putting 15 years of service and have passed Army class - I certificate or equivalent or Matric are eligible to apply. The eligibility of retired Defence Personnel to the status of Ex Service Man is governed by the definition as laid down by Department of Personnel and Training. *Age Limit and Relaxation:Candidates minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum age limit for UR candidates is 33 years + extent of military service+ 3 years, 38 years + extent of military service+ 3 years for SC/ST candidates and 36 years +extent of military service+ 3 years for OBC candidates. The age limit is reckoned as on 01-07-2013.
EXAMINATION FEE:No application fee
MODE OF SELECTION :Candidates will be selected in the order of merit on the basis of total length of military service and Ex service to the extent of vacancies will be called for verification of original documents.
HOW TO APPLY FOR GROUP-D JOBS IN SCR
Eligible candidates can send their applications in the prescribed format enclosed in the Railway Employment Notification should fill with own hand writing in English or Hindi Language with one recent color passport size photograph pasted on the application and affix the left thumb impression along with self attested copies of discharge certificate, army Class -I certificate, date of birth certificates, identity card issued by zilla sainik welfare board etc by super scribing the top of the envelope as ‘Recruitment against Ex-Servicemen Quota of erstwhile Group ‘D’ Posts, Employment Notification No.RRC/SCR/EX-SM/1/2013.dated 15-06-2013 should reach to The Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment), Railway Recruitment Cell, First Floor, C-Block, Rail Nilayam, South Central Railway, Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh-500071 on or before 15-07-2013 at 17:00 hrs and for candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur and some of other places may send on or before 30 Jul 2013 at 17:00 hrs.TENTATIVE DATES:

South Central Railway was formed on 2nd October, 1966 as the 9th zone of the Indian Railways. In the a rena of information dissemination to the rail customers, it has provided Inter-active Voice Response System (IVRS) for Reservation and train enquiry, National Train Enquiry System (NTES) for real time information on movement of trains, Passenger Operated Enquiry Terminals (POET) with information on availability of accommodation and confirmation and Close Circuit Television (CCTV) for real time reservation availability status at all important stations in its system.For mass movement of freight, S.C.Railway has introduced high horse powered Diesel and Electric Locomotives and high speed, higher Axle load Box-N-Wagons. Today, South Central Railway plays a pivotal role as a catalyst for agricultural and industrial development in the Southern peninsula apart from fostering the growth of trade and commerce including import/export through ports by connecting sea ports with their hinder land and inland container depots.
