RRC ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
*Minimum Educational Qualification :Candidates who have retired as Ex-servicemen after putting 15 years of service and have passed Army class - I certificate or equivalent or Matric are eligible to apply. The eligibility of retired Defence Personnel to the status of Ex Service Man is governed by the definition as laid down by Department of Personnel and Training.
*Age Limit and Relaxation:UR: 18 to 33 years, OBC: 18 to 36 years, SC/ST: 18 to 38 years + extent of military service + 3 years.
*Pay Scale:5200-20200/- with Grade Pay Rs. 1800/-
EXAMINATION FEE: No Application fee
MODE OF SELECTION :The selection of group-D post of RRC Western Railway will follow these given steps
i. The recruitment shall be on the basis of scrutiny of application and medical fitness for the post.
ii. There will be no written examination/interview or Physically Efficiency Test.
iii. The panel will be formed solely on the basis of their length of military service subject to medical fitness.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES
i. Vacancies shown are provisional and are subject to upward/downward revision.ii. Selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere on the Western Railway.
iii. Before applying for the post, candidate should ensure that he fulfills the eligibility criteria.
iv. Applications of candidates not fulfilling the requisite criteria are liable to be rejected at any stage of recruitment and if appointed erroneously their services are liable to be terminated
v. Candidates should submit only one application form mentioning the category-wise priority.Candidates submitting more than one application form will not be considered and even if such a candidates gets selected, he will not be appointed.
vi. Candidates trying to use influence or unfair means would be disqualified.

viii. The selection of candidates by RRC-WR does not confer any right for the candidate for appointment on Railway Service.

x. The appointment of candidate will be provisional and subject to their being found suitable after antecedent and certificate verification.
xi. In case of any dispute, English version of the Employment Notification will prevail.
xii. For any legal dispute, the Jurisdiction will be of Central Administrative Tribunal-Mumbai.
ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) vide their letter no. E(NG)-II/96/RR-1/62 Dt.18-07-2005 have delegated powers for recruitment of Gr. ’D’ (Now erstwhile group ’D’) posts to General Managers. In pursuance to this, the Railway Recruitment Cell has started functioning in Western Railway at Grant Road Mumbai.RRC-WR does not accept employment applications through e-mail. The applications should be submitted before the last date of application in the prescribed form as given in the Employment Notification by ordinary post/application drop box at RRC-WR office only.RRC-WR is headed by Dy. Chief Personnel Officer (RRC) and is assisted by one Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment) and suitable no. of Gr. ’C’ and Gr. ’D’ staff.The cell caters to the open market Recruitment of Staff in PB-1 GP 1800/- for entire Western Railway.
