ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Ex-Servicemen who have retired after putting in 15 years of service and have passed Army Class-I Certificate or equivalent, or matric. The eligibility of the retired Defence personnel to the status of Ex SM is governed by the definition as laid down by Department of Personnel and Training.*Minimum Educational Qualification :Candidates applying for various vacancy in RRCNR must have 10th pass
*Age Limit and Relaxation:Candidates’ age must 33 years + extent of military service+ 3 years. Cutoff date for determining age limit would be 01-07-2013. Age relaxations will be extended as per Govt. rules.
EXAMINATION FEE: no application fee
MODE OF SELECTION :The RRC recruitment shall be on the basis of scrutiny of applications and there will be no written test or physical efficiency test or physical efficiency test. The panel of Ex. sm will be formed solely on the basis of the length of military service rendered subject to medical fitness.

ABOUT RRCNR
On the direction of Ministry of Railway (Railway Board) vide letter no.E(NG)-II/96/RB1 dated18.07.2005, Railway Recruitment Cell was formed in year 2005 for recruitment of Group “D” staff over Northern Railway. Railway Recruitment Cell, is situated at Lajpat Nagar-1, New Delhi. And it is headed by a Deputy Chief Personnel Officer/RRC, who is assisted by an Assistant Personnel Officer and 4 staff in Group ‘C’ and 3 in Group ‘D’.
