Kutch Railway Company Limited (KRC), a Joint Venture of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, Government of Gujarat, Kandla Port Trust and Adani Port and SEZ Limited, is looking for a suitable candidate for the post of Managing Director. The candidate should be a capacity builder with a record of demonstrated leadership, strategic and creative thinking, collaborative development, and an ability to work effectively and harmoniously with a range of key stakeholders in railway sector.
RAILWAY RECRUITMENT DETAILS
NAME OF POST:Managing Director ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
*Minimum Educational Qualification :Graduate in any discipline with a total experience of at least 20 (Twenty) years in Railways or related industry. He should have relevant experience in project management/ project development/ project operation and maintenance of Railway systems/ marketing/financial management and profit centre approach/ cost control. Candidates having post graduate qualifications in technical/management disciplines with experience in managing the affairs of SPVs/ Companies/JVs on PPP mode concerned with the following functions in Railway, i.e., Railway Planning and Construction, Financing, Marketing and Commercial, and Operation & Maintenance may be given preference.
*Age Limit and Relaxation:not more than 57 years as on the date of advertisement (relaxable in the case of exceptionally deserving candidates).
Tenure: The tenure shall be for a period of three years extendable to five years.
MODE OF SELECTION :
Selection will be finalized after interview of all eligible candidates appearing on the date of interview. The eligible candidates will be intimated of the date & venue of interview by post/email.
The candidate has to submit his willingness for the post at the time of interview itself, clearly stating that he/she will join the post, if selected. If any candidate does not initially give his/ her willingness, he /she will not be interviewed. The selected candidate will have to join within 3(Three) months of issue of letter of appointment. NOC of employer at the time of interview.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
Indian Railway network particularly High Density Network, which connects the four Metro Cities of Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai & Mumbai including the diagonals is over saturated. Challenges of higher economic growth require leap forward capacity development strategy on Indian Railways. Paradigms of such a strategy required a shift from dependence on purely budgetary sources and internal surplus of Railways to mobilization of non-budgetary financial resources from private sector, banks, financial institutions, multilateral and bilateral agencies through a mix of equity and debt. The financial resources available from the traditional sources were found to be grossly inadequate to meet the requirement. The Ministry of Railways, therefore, had been considering various innovative methods of project distribution and creation of assets. Another paradigm shift required was to change from project mode of planning to programme mode to be implemented in a time bound manner.
