ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
*Minimum Educational Qualification :Matriculation plus two years ITI in Artisan(construction), Artisan (Wood Work), Welder, Artisan (Metallurgy), Painter &Decorator and Fitter or equivalent Class Itrade issued by MEG and Centre or other Armed Forces Trg Centre in Artisan(construction), Artisan (Wood Work),Welder, Artisan (Metallurgy), Painter &Decorator and Fitter
*Age Limit and Relaxation:
1 For Ex-servicemen, the relaxation in age shall be equivalent to the number of years of service in armed forces plus 3 years, but in any case the maximum age not to exceed 50 years as on 1.7.2012 in respect of General Merit candidates.
2 The age limit indicated will be reckoned as on 01.07.2012. The upper age limit is relaxable as under subject to submission of requisite certificate.
3 By 5 years for SC/ST candidates i.e. not to exceed 55 years as on 1.7.2012.
4 By 3 years for OBC candidates i.e. not to exceed 53 years as on 1.7.2012.
MODE OF SELECTION :
1 The selection will be made strictly on merit, on the basis of written examination and Interview (85 % weightage for written test marks and 15 marks for Interview). interview entails Aptitude/Skill Test/Psychological test wherever necessary. Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of the original documents.
2 There shall be no negative marking in the written examination.
3 The syllabus for the written examination will be generally in conformity with the educational standards and/or technical qualifications prescribed for the posts. The Questions will be of objective type with multiple answers and likely to include questions pertaining to General knowledge, General English, General Arithmetic,Analytical and Quantitative Skills and those subjects covered as part of minimum educational/technical qualifications for the post. There will be only one question paper for each Trade in the category.
4. Further Multiple / alternate qualifications are prescribed for many posts. In case of each Trade / Skill there shall be one question paper. For eg: for category 7 –Maintainers (S&T/AFC), the Trades prescribed are Electrician, Operator (Radio),Engine Artificier and Fitter. For each of these Trades there will be a separate question paper. The person holding the qualification of ‘Electrician’ will be given question paper on Electrician Trade and the person holding the qualification of Engine Artificer will be given question paper on ‘Engine Artificier’ and so on.Thus one question paper for each Trade in the category as preferred by the applicant will be given. The candidate selected for the category after written test and interview, will be given the choice to opt for any one of the posts in the category, in the order of their merit

Apply Online at BMRC Log on to www.bmrc.co.in. On the main screen of BMRCL website, click on“Careers”. A screen appears. Click on “Online Application Form”. A screen appears. Please fill up all the details in the application form correctly. Please see “B”Instructions for filling up the application form” of Annexure- 1 to this notification, for detailed instructions to fill up the online application form.No modifications possible once saved Once you furnish details and press the “Submit” button and receive the message“Saved”, you will not be able to modify anything thereafter,Once you enter all the details and finally get the message “saved”, the system will
generate “Application Number”. Immediately note the application number on a paper and keep it safely with you, so that even if the system closes for any reason like power failure etc., you can recoup the application by mentioning the application number. However, this will not be possible without application number. Application number is compulsorily required in all communications. No communication shall been pertained without the correct application number. (However, as a further facility,immediately on generation of application number, the same gets sent to your Email ID provided by you while applying. Hence, you can see your application number in your Email ID also.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES:
1 Applications are available on BMRCL website : www.bmrc.co.in. Candidates arerequired to go to BMRCL website and fill up the application online.
2 Before applying for any post, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills all thee ligibility norms.
3. The Certificates awarded by the Army / Navy / Air Force in support of educational qualification must be in the relevant field and equivalent to the qualification prescribed for the post. The Certificates so awarded shall contain percentage of marks or grade. Certificates as regard to the qualification and other documentary proof in respect of Trade classification should also be produced. In respect of such certificates, a reference will be made by BMRCL to MEG Centre,Bangalore, whose decision regarding equivalence to the qualification prescribed,shall be final.
4. Candidates possessing qualification equivalent to the relevant Engineering Degree/ Engineering Diploma may apply subject to the condition that they should produce documentary proof obtained from Association of Indian Universities in respect of Engineering degree and from Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Karnataka in respect of Engineering Diploma certifying the said equivalence.
