Recruitment of Group-D posts in Central Railway-2013

Applications in the prescribed format are invited from eligible Indian Nationals for filling up of following 2572 various Group-D posts in Central Railway, Mumbai in the pay scale of Rs.5200-20200 grade pay Rs.1800/- (age : 18-33 years as on 01/01/2013) :

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
*Minimum Educational Qualification :Candidates should possess the qualification of 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent or above.Candidates appearing at and/or awaiting results of the final examinations of 10th/ITI or equivalent on the date of application are not eligible to apply.
*Age Limit and Relaxation:The normal age (in completed years) for the recruitment is 18-33 years reckoned as on01.01.2013.
EXAMINATION FEE:
Rs.40/-  payable in a form of crossed Demand Draft from State Bank of India or from any other Nationalized Bank or crossed Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of Senior Personnel Officer (Recruitment) Railway Recruitment Cell, Central Railway, Mumbai. Candidates should write their name and address at the back of the Indian Postal Order/ Demand Draft.  Candidates belonging to SC/ST, PWD(PH), Women, Minority Communities and Economically Backward Classes/Sections are exempted from payment of examination fees.
MODE OF SELECTION :
The recruitment procedure consists of Written Examination followed by Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification & Medical Examination.Candidates who fulfill the eligibility conditions will be called for the written test. As eparate call letter indicating date, time and venue will be sent to all the eligible candidates. Candidates who qualify the written test will be called for a Physical Efficiency Test(PET). A separate call letter indicating date, time and venue will be sent to all the eligible candidates.Only those candidates who qualify in the PET will be called for Document verification as per merit. A separate call letter indicating date, time & venue will be sent to the qualified candidates to attend for the Document verification.The persons with disabilities are exempted from appearing for PET.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES:
1 Candidates before applying should carefully read the instructions and ensure that he/she fulfills all eligibility conditions at the time of submission of applications.
2 The number of vacancies shown in this notification are provisional and the same is liable to increase or decrease depending upon the actual needs of the administration.
3 Selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere in Central Railway.
4 Mere selection and emplacement does not confer any right of appointment to the candidates.
5 Admission of the candidate at all stages of recruitment will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed conditions.
6 Railway Recruitment Cell reserves the right to alter the modus of examinations or conduct re-PET/re-examination or cancel part or whole of any process of recruitment at any stage.
7 Under any circumstances no damage/loss or re-fund of examination fee will be made.
8 Medical examination: The candidates recommended for appointment will have to pass the requisite medical fitness test(s) conducted by the Railway Administration to ensure that the candidates are medically fit to carry out the duties connected with the post. Only those candidates who are medically fit would be offered appointment.
9 Candidates recommended for a particular category of post with a higher medical classification will not be considered for any alternative post with lower medical classification in the event of their medical unfitness.
10 RRC/CR shall reject application of non-fulfilling the requisite criteria at any stage of recruitment and if erroneously appointed such candidates shall be summarily removed from service.
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) vide their Letter No. E(NG)-II/96/RR-1/62 dated 18.07.2005 have delegated the powers of recruitment to Group 'D' posts to the General Managers. In pursuance to this, Railway Recruitment Cell was opened in Central Railway. The Railway Recruitment Cell has been entrusted with the responsibility to make recruitment to all Group 'D' posts from open market.RRC-CR is headed by the Dy. Chief Personnel Officer (Recruitment),  assisted by one Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment) and other staff.The Cell undertakes the recruitment for Group 'D' vacancies in Mumbai, Pune, Bhusawal, Nagpur , Solapur Divisions,  workshops and extra divisional units in the territorial jurisdiction of Central Railway. ight to Information Act 2005 mandates timely response to citizen requests for government information. It is an initiative taken by Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions to provide a– RTI  Portal Gateway to the citizens for quick search of information on the details of first Appellate Authorities,PIOs   etc. amongst others, besides access to RTI related information / disclosures published on the web by various Public Authorities under the government of India as well as the State Governments.
