ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
*Minimum Educational Qualification :In G.P.- ` 1800 – Matriculation or ITI or equivalent
In G.P- ` 1900/2000- Matriculation or equivalent
In G.P- ` 2400- Intermediate (If recruited in Technician Grade)
In G.P- ` 2800- Graduation or equivalent
*Age Limit and Relaxation:The age limit will be 18-25 years. (The age of sports person will be reckoned as on 01.01.2013) No
relaxation in upper or lower age limit will be given.
EXAMINATION FEE:
The examination fees for recruitment against Sports Quota will be ` 60/- (for Grade Pay- ` 2800/2400/-) and ` 40/- (for Grade Pay- ` 2000/1900 & ` 1800/-). Examination Fee can be paid only in the form of IPO/Demand Draft of above amount. Date of issue of IPO/Demand Draft should not be before the date of issue of this Employment Notice.
MODE OF SELECTION :
Selection will be conducted through TRIAL and INTERVIEW by Recruitment Committee. No TA/DA/Accommodation will be provided during trial/interview. The candidate may have to stay for 2-3 days during selection for which he/she has to make his/her own arrangement.
HOW TO APPLY:
(i) The given format should be neatly typed or hand written either in English or Hindi on a A-4 size paper and should be filled in own hand writing. One passport size photograph should be pasted at the specific space on the application form duly signed on the top by the candidate.
(ii) Two similar passport size photographs (same as affixed in the application form duly signed on the top) should be clipped along with the Application Form.
(iii) All the copies of certificates in support of age, caste (applicable for Central Government services), educational qualification, sports achievements & other qualifications should be attested either by a Gazetted officer or by self and should be enclosed along with the Application.
(iv) All applications should be accompanied with Demand Draft or IPO worth ` 60/- or ` 40/- as the case may be, which will not be refundable in any case. All Female Candidates, SC / ST and Minority (Muslims,Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Zorastrians {Parsis}) & Economically Backward candidates, whose income is less than ` 50,00 per annum are fully exempted from this payment.
(v) In case of serving employee “No Objection Certificate” from the employer should be attached.
(vi) More than one application in one envelope will summarily be rejected.
(vii) Only those candidates who fulfill the prescribed norms, should apply.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
East Central Railway with its Headquarters at Hajipur in Bihar is one of these six new zones.Hajipur is the district Headquarters of Vaishali district and is located at approximately 25 kms by road and 200 kms away by rail route from Patna (Capital of Bihar).East Central Railway was inaugurated on 08.09.96 and an Officer on Special Duty of the rank of General Manager was posted.Jurisdiction of E. C. Railway consists of Sonepur & Samastipur division of N. E. Railway and Danapur , Dhanbad & Mughalsarai division of Eastern Railway respectively.Construction of temporary Zonal Office Building for E. C. Railway covering 3100 sqm. area was completed in June, 97 and core group of Officers and staff posted. E. C. Railway started functioning by looking after some of the activities of Sonpur and Samastipur Division.
