*Menimum Educational Qualification :
a.Group-C:Minimum Matriculation or equivalent examination with 50% marks in aggregate. The stipulation of 50% marks is not applicable having higher than Matriculation Qualification and SC/ST candidates.
*Age Limit and Relaxation(as on 01.01.2013) :UR : 18 - 30 Yrs,OBC : 18 - 33 Yrs,SC/ST : 18 - 35 Yrs
b.Group-D:10th pass or ITI or equivalent
*Age Limit and Relaxation (as on 01.01.2013) :UR : 18 - 33 Yrs,OBC : 18 - 36 Yrs,SC/ST : 18 - 38 Yrs
SCOUTING/ GUIDING qualifications :(Applicable for both Group ‘C’ & Group ‘D’ post)
Besides the educational qualification and age limit, the following Scouting & Guiding qualifications are essential for recruitment against Scouts & Guides Quota :-
(a) Candidate should be a President’s Scouts / Guides /Ranger / Rover, Or Himalayan Wood Badge holder Or A Pre-HWB trained Scout Leader/Advanced trained Guide/Leader/Captain.
(b) Should have been an active member of a Scout Organization for at least 03(Three) years in the recent past and should continue to be active.
(c) Should have attended at least one event at National level and one or two events at State level. Or Should have a good record of participation in Scouts/Guides activities at Unit / District level.
EXAMINATION FEE:
The examination fee for unreserved and OBC candidates is Rs.40/- (Rupees forty only). Candidates belonging to SC/ST, PWD (PH) & Women, Minority Communities and Economically Backward Classes/Sections are exempted from payment of examination fee.
HOW TO APPLY:
The format of application given at Annexure-1 should be neatly typed or handwritten either in English or Hindi on A-4 size paper with one passport size recent photograph (without coloured glasses/sunglass/cap on the head), duly signed on the top by the candidate and attested by the Gazetted Officer should be pasted at the specified space on the application form.
The candidates are advised to write their names and address on the backside of the Bank Draft/IPO and enclose it with the application form.
a) Two self-addressed envelopes (Size : 23cms. x 10 cms.) should be accompanied with the application.
b) All the applications should be in closed-envelope superscribing on the top Recruitment against Scouts & Guides Quota 2012 – 13.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
The South Eastern Railway (SER) was a railway company in south-eastern England from 1836 until 1922. The company was formed to construct a route from London to Dover. Branch lines were later opened to Tunbridge Wells, Hastings, Canterbury and other places in Kent. The SER absorbed or leased other railways, some older than itself, including the London and Greenwich Railway and the Canterbury and Whit stable Railway. Most of the company's routes were in Kent, eastern Sussex and the London suburbs, with a long cross-country route from Red hill in Surrey to Reading, Berkshire.Much of the company's early history was attempts at expansion and feuding with its neighbours; the London Brighton and South Coast Railway (LBSCR) in the west and the London, Chatham and Dover Railway (LCDR) to the north-east. However, in 1899 the SER agreed with the LCDR to share operation of the two railways, work them as a single system (marketed as the South Eastern and Chatham Railway) and pool receipts: but it was not a full amalgamation. The SER and LCDR remained separate companies until becoming constituents of the Southern Railway on 1 January 1923.
