.Educational qualification : Minimum Matriculation or equivalent examination with 50% marks in aggregate. SALARY:Rs.5200 – 20200/- with Grade Pay –Rs.1900 /- or Rs.2000/-
EXAMINATION FEE:The examination fee for unreserved and OBC candidates is Rs.40/- (Rupees forty only). Candidates belonging to SC/ST, PWD (PH) & Women, Minority Communities and Economically Backward Classes/Sections are exempted from payment of examination fee.
SELECTION PROCESS: The decision of the South Eastern Railway Administration in all matters relating to eligibility,acceptance or rejection of the applications and mode of selection shall be final and binding on the candidate and the decision of the South Eastern Railway recruitment board in connection with panel will be final.There is no community reservation against Scouts & Guides quota recruitment. The candidate belonging to SC/ST/OBC community should enclose necessary certificate for upper age relaxation and also further reservation benefit subject to their appointment on Railway.The Railway administration will not be responsible for any postal delay or wrong delivery.
HOW TO APPLY: The format of application given at Annexure-1 should be neatly typed or handwritten either in English or Hindi on A-4 size paper with one passport size recent photograph (without colored glasses/sun glass/cap on the head), duly signed on the top by the candidate and attested by the Gazetted Officer should be pasted at the specified space on the application form.The candidates are advised to write their names and address on the backside of the Bank Draft/IPO and enclose it with the application form.Two self-addressed envelopes (Size : 23cms. x 10 cms.) should be accompanied with the application.All the applications should be in closed-envelope superscribing on the top “Recruitment against Scouts & Guides Quota 2012 – 13.Employment Notice …………………………………… Dated ………………….“Post applied for ………………….. and the name of the Division ………………………Central District/HQ” instead of the name of the Division on the envelope.

South Eastern Railway(11, Garden Reach Road, Kolkata-700043) was earlier known as Bengal Nagpur Railway (BNR). Major events in the development of SE Railway Irrespective of categorization, some of the stations have been designated as Model Station. Depending on their categories, additional facilities have been envisioned for them. In South Eastern Railway the following 21 stations have been designated as Model stations.In addition to these stations, all the Divisional Head Quarters Offices as well a Zonal Head Quarters have been networked through e-mail for expeditious remedial action on complaints etc. The Global Inquiry system is able to provide passengers with upto date data regarding routes, fares, choice of trains etc. and at a later date will also provide current status of train running.Apart from feeding terminals at 4 divisional control offices, inquiry terminals are available at the following 8 main inquiry offices under National Train Inquiry System (NTES)interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) which prompts the person and gives specific information about train running or status of reservation provided at the following 9 stations:Computerization of Passenger Coach Guidance System.
